Shekinah International School based in Entebbe Uganda is a friendly and safe environment carefully setup to ensure that every child feels welcome and secure. Curriculum
At Shekinah International, Entebbe Uganda, We follow the guidelines of English National curriculum.
In Early Years we use the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum which covers seven areas of development;
- Personal, Social and Emotional Development.
- Communication and Language.
- Physical development.
- Mathematics.
- Literacy.
- Understanding the world.
- Expressive arts and development.
The Primary Curriculum covers the following subjects:
- Literacy.
- Numeracy.
- Science.
- Humanities (History, Geography and C.R.E).
- Personal, Social, Health and Emotional Development (PSHE).
- Design and Technology(D&T).
- Art and Design.
- Information and communication Technology (ICT).
Concepts, knowledge and skills are delivered through exciting themes and topics that keep the children enthused about what they are learning.
The School Setting
At Shekinah International School, we recognize that children deepen their understanding by playing, talking, observing, questioning, experimenting, reflecting and responding to both their peers and adults. Therefore our setting at our Entebbe campus is designed to provide a range of activities and work stations that cater for choice, challenge and problem solving. These are carefully enhanced to stimulate learning throughout the time children are in school.
Co-curricular Activities
The School provides opportunities for children to go on field trips, participate in assemblies and productions, sports days, extracurricular activities through clubs, community service and development activities, and spiritual growth through devotions and bible study.
