Ivory International School – Buloba is both day and boarding, Daycare, Kindergarten and Primary school, certified and registered under Uganda’s ministry of education and sports as an international school.

Ivory International School was officially opened on Monday 4th February 2019 as a Mixed school with both Day and Boarding sections, with over 150 pupils from Kindergarten to Primary.

We welcome learners in both kindergarten and primary levels at the beginning of every year. Entrants apply through filling application forms available on-line and at school.

Successful applicants are invited for interviews which a learner has to pass with 70% average mark.

New entrants are interviewed in three main subjects ie. Mathematics, English language and Literacy in Lower Primary (Year 1 to Year 3), and four subjects i.e. Mathematics English, Science and Social Studies in Upper Primary (Year 4 to Year 6).

Please note that:

Entrants to Kindergarten classes do not write interview examinations.

Career Guidance

Our school conducts career guidance on a Career Guidance Day which is held once in a year. All classes from Kindergarten to Primary get involved.

On this day, pupils are guided on particular careers by professionals in respect to their dream careers

Drama Day

Casual days also called the Bonding parties are usually held once every year.

These days are one of the most loved and widely popular days at school. On this day leaners dress up casually in different attires of their choice as guided by the parent. They get involved in a number of activities like miming, dancing, face painting, comedy, bouncing on the bouncing castle, etc.
We get a number of entertainers; comedians (like; mickey mouse like spiderman), musicians, acrobatics, etc

Wildlife and Tourism

Our school carries out academic tours during the beginning of every term vacation. All pupils from kindergarten to primary are involved in this activity.
Kindergarten pupils are usually taken to kids parks, to have a touch of the numerous play materials, make friends and associate.
Primary pupils visit different places in and outside the country.
Place visited include; wild life education centres, factories, industries, games parks, cities, airports and air strips, physical features like mountains, lakes, rives, water falls, rift valleys, mines, and many others.

Scouting

School clubs – aimed at equipping pupils with different life skills holistically to prepare them for  the future and skilled world.

Meals:

Ivory International School feeds her children on a menu that changes every day and every week.

  • Early morning tea (porridge, milk, dry tea, bans, cakes, chapatti, samosas, etc.)
  • Breakfast (porridge, milk, dry tea, bans, cakes, chapatti, samosas, etc.)
  • Lunch (matooke, rice, potatoes, posho, meat, beans, g.nuts, snacks, etc.)
  • Evening snacks (watermelon, pineapple, bananas, etc.)
  • Supper (matooke, rice, potatoes, posho, meat, beans, G.nuts, snacks, etc.)

Medical Care:
Our Medical facility is located within the school and is 24/7 open. It is a sick bay divided into the girls section and the boys section. Our pupils with health issues get medical attention from here. In case of serious health conditions, a parent / guardian is contacted.

Outdoor play area for kids, outdoor games and sports:
We it very well that work without play makes Jack a dull boy. Our classes are vibrant for this reason. Pupils have play grounds and plenty of play materials which they use under keen supervision of teachers.

Transport:
We have school vans for picking and dropping pupils. The fees range from 100,000/= to 250,000/= depending on the location.
