Uganda Baptist Seminary was founded in 1988 and is a ministry of the Baptist Mission of Uganda of the IMB-SBC and the Baptist Union of Uganda. In 2006, it was licensed by the National Council of Higher Education of the Ugandan Government and was licensed by the National Council of Higher Education of the Ugandan Government in 2016 to offer the accredited degree program of Bachelors of Theology.
At Uganda Baptist Seminary (UBS), the unfailing Word of God remains central to every part of the programs of study and application. The sharing of these truths to our students deepens and sharpens their ministry on the values of eternity.

The application process is designed to provide adequate knowledge of the application to the Admission Committee so that it can determine whether the applicant meets the qualifications for studying at UBS.
Application forms are to be filled out completely and returned to the Registrar’s Office along with a passport size photograph and transcripts and certificates from all previous schools and colleges attended. Here is a link to the Application Form.
Programs
The Institute is licensed to offer the accredited programmes of Certificate of Theology, Diploma of Theology and Bachelors of Theology.
Masters of Theological Studies is earned in conjunction with Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in the United States. Although classes are held on the Jinja campus, the tuition, credit hours and final diploma are through Southeastern.
Library: An ever growing library is a resource for students and maintained by our degreed librarian. A computer lab is used by all program levels to learn basic computer use and to type research papers. Six classrooms accommodate the students.
