Heritage International School | HIS opened in 1994 in Uganda, sponsored by missionaries of five different Christian missions, with the aim of providing a Christ-centered education for all children, regardless of their religious, social, or economic background. Our aim continues to be to provide a high-quality education that prepares our young people for a life of faith and service.

The student learning expectations are modeled after the growth of Jesus Christ described in Luke 2:52: “And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man.” Based on this, we have structured our student goals in the same four categories: wisdom (academic), stature (physical), favor with God (spiritual), and favor with man (social).

Fees Structure
Parents choose one of three payment options at Heritage International School:
Annual Plan. “PREFERRED” A one-time annual fee. (5% discount if paid prior to 15th July on annual only)

Semester Plan. Two payments at semester start. Costs 5% more than Opt 1.
Monthly Plan. An initial payment at enrollment followed by 8 monthly payments beginning in Sept or an initial payment followed by 3 monthly payments beginning in Sept or Feb when enrolled for only one semester. The monthly payments are due by the 7th of each month. Costs 7% more than OPT 1.
Parents are encouraged to place a $500 reservation deposit per child to ensure they have a place next year. This is deducted from first-semester school fees and is non-refundable and non-transferable and does not carry forward to the next semester.

Sports and club activities begin after school at 3:15 PM and end between 4:00 PM and 5:0PM. Special activities, like youth groups and others, occur at other times after school or on weekends. Participation in these activities is strongly encouraged.
Mission Trip/Activities Week: Requirement to graduate, but a very inspirational time when the students take a few days to go away and do missionary work at a specific location.

Library: The Heritage library promotes information literacy, and the staff endeavors to help students to access, synthesize, produce and communicate information using the resources of the library.
Computers: One of the ways in which we support this aspect of the school is by providing a computer for each student during computer class time and through dedicated high-speed internet access for research activities.
Classrooms: HIS classrooms are designed to engage the students in their learning. The spacious classrooms are ideal for a variety of learning activities.
Sports facilities: HIS has a variety of sports and play facilities at the school campus and access to facilities off the school campus.
