At Taibah Junior School, we offer pre-primary education for three year groups. Our reception year group is Baby Class/Kindergarten 1 (or KG1) and the school policy stipulates that children joining this class should already be three (3) years of age or making three years before the month of May. The other year groups in the pre-primary section include Middle Class (KG2) for the four year olds and Top Class (KG3) for the five year olds.
We mainly offer Day School facilities at this level. Our children join primary school at six years of age.
We offer only UNEB Curriculum at Taibah Junior School – Kawempe. Furthermore, we teach French, Swahili, social and moral education, life skills as well as the suitable instruction for the child’s religious faith. Music, physical education, sports (including swimming), traditional and modern dance, art, craft and agriculture feature in our timetabled activities.

Celebrating ‘Act of Kindness Week’
Act of Kindness week is officially celebrated at Taibah International School by all children individually, in small groups or classes in order to encourage acts of kindness. It is an opportunity to do something kind for someone else, to appreciate others and for community building – its NOT about fundraising or donating items and giving money – just a week to celebrate kindness.
During this week, children are encouraged to use their imagination and follow their heart as they come up wit acts of kindness. Imagine, hundreds of kind gestures within a school – it’s a very powerful week!
This year, all proceeds collected were used to support students in St. Kizito Primary School – Bweya.
Theatre Production
Talent lives within each one of us and at Taibah International School we only nurture it.
TIS at the Theatre is an annual event that gives every student a platform and an opportunity to shine, share and develop talent while putting into practice the TIS 5Cs; Creativity, Critical Thinking, Confidence, Communication and Concern for Community.
TIS at the Theatre is designed to promote inclusion of all the school sections i.e. Primary, Junior and Secondary sections.
The 2019 production “The Greatest Show man” was successfully completed in late April.
Our theatre productions in the recent years include “The Greatest Love of All“, an adaptation of Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet, “The Baby Is Mine“, an adaptation of Willy Russell’s Blood Brothers, “The Green Eyed Monster“, an adaptation of Shakespeare’s Othello, “Mfalme Simba“, an adaptation of the Lion King, “Unmasking of Egwugwu“, an adaptation of Chinua Achebe’s Things Fall Apart and ” I Want Some More“, an adaptation of Charles Dickens’ Oliver Twist.
