Karibu International School (KIS) is a private mixed boarding and day primary school located in Iganga district in Uganda. The school also has a thriving nursery/pre-school cohort run using the Montessori model.

Karibu International School (KIS) has a team of professional and multi-discipline teachers delivers our curriculum. All the teachers and support staff are qualified to meet the high standards of the school.
There are adequately facilitated to share their knowledge, experiences and skills in the processes of helping our children to get an exciting and yet challenging rounded learning experience.
On offer at the moment is the Ugandan curriculum with plans to introduce a British curriculum in the near future to complement and run along side our current offer. The aim is to give our learners more options while broadening their chances to integrate and compete in the new global economies.
Our offer has got two provisions, which are in line with the Ugandan national curriculum assessment criteria for primary level learners.

Our well balanced curriculum offer is designed to meet the dynamic academic, cultural and social needs of our children.
Your child will be given opportunities to further develop outside the classroom. We have a good range of extra-curricular activities planned throughout the academic year for our children.
As a school we would like to grow our international links and therefore invite other schools that would like to share and be a part of our community to get in contact with us. We would like to take advantage of the excellent computer and Internet facilities we have to promote and give our children a truly global learning experiences.
Karibu International School (KIS) has an admission process that is designed to ensure that the best outcome is devised for your child. There will be an oral interview, plus tests in Mathematics and English. The testing is mainly meant to give us an indication of the current working level/s of your child in those two core subjects.
Any students coming from another school will have to bring along to your interview any reports, certificates, commendations or references from your previous school. You will NOT be exempt from our written Mathematics and English tests.
Confirmation of Admission
Your child’s place at the school will be reserved, once they have successfully completed the oral and written interview process. It will be confirmed once all agreed fees have been paid including the non-refundable registration fee set as per the pay structure of each academic year.
The child is a full member of KIS community once all necessary paperwork and agreed fees have been completed and paid. You will be given your confirmation in writing.
We have a first come first service policy as we sometimes get inundated with applications, particularly for our nursery/per school provision. In order to maintain our high standards of delivery and learner experience we have a cap beyond which no more applications will be accepted each academic year.
