Victorian High School Entebbe is a five-year old school which was opened in February 2008 in partnership involving Anke Dreier and Marcel Horning (Germans) – Mariam Nabunya and Robert Kenny Ngudo (Ugandans). The four now act as the proprietors of the school.
Victorian High School Entebbe has support from Germany through a Society that was established to help some of the school program. This is being managed from Germany by Anke and Marcel. From the Ugandan side they registered a Non Governmental Organization in the name of the Lernplus foundation that is overseeing and helping to raise support for the school development.
Departments: Victorian High School Entebbe has four departments in the school academic program.
Science department: This handles Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Arts department: This handles History, Geography, Christian Religious Education, and Literature.
Language department: This with English and German.
Business studies department: This deals with Commerce, Economics, and Computer studies.
Co curricular activities: Victorian High School Entebbe takes part in various sports activities which include football, basketball, netball and athletics. Clubs include; The band, scripture Union Club, German Club, Writer’s Club, theatre club and Scrabble club.
