How Technology Has Changed The World

The world we live in today changes every single second, whether its a small change or a big change done by either one person or a group of people. Technology is a hot topic that changes our daily lives. You will find that in every sector, technology is applied to either simplify or provide easier solutions on how to go about things. The most amazing thing about technology is that it seems like it has no sign of stopping and each year we are more amazed with what we find out.

Space

Everything and everyone has to start somewhere, just make sure that once you start, you never stop.

Lately we rely more and more on technology than traditional methods, reason being that it saves a lot of time. it has simplified different sectors in our society namely, Medical world, Education, Communication, Automation and many other more.

Communication

It is now easier than ever to be able to communicate with someone all over the world.
With the development of a whole host of communication interfaces (instant messaging, videoconferencing, etc.), people can communicate with one another whenever and wherever they want. Recent developments in voice recognition should quickly spread this fluid communication to the masses, for example, by breaking down communication barriers for the deaf and hearing impaired. Email is convenient and a fast way for someone to receive your content and/or attached documents. As technology continues to progress, who knows how we will communicate in the future.

Education

Education is a wide sector that technology has simplified. Traditionally, education tended to stay in a classroom with a student and teacher. Now, online and various technological tools have taken over the education system. Thousands of courses and degrees are available online and have shown to be more effective at times than the traditional classroom. Students can take classes at their own pace, and can easily repeat parts of the course they have questions about. Web-based education helps in effective learning and imparting knowledge to everyone. The uses of audio and visual tools enhance learning and facilitate memory.

Medical world

The medical world is too diverse. Another key area that has grown and continues to do so is patient care. The use of information technology has made patient care safer and more reliable in most applications. The fact that nurses and doctors who are working on the frontline are now routinely using hand-held computers to record important real-time patient data and then sharing it instantly within their updated medical history is an excellent illustration of the benefits of health IT.

Being able to accumulate lab results, records of vital signs and other critical patient data into one centralized area has transformed the level of care and efficiency a patient can expect to receive when they enter the healthcare system.
An increased level of efficiency in data collection means that a vast online resource of patient history is available to scientists, who are finding new ways to study trends and make medical breakthroughs at a faster rate.

3D Printing
Today, it is possible to reproduce bones and some internal organs using 3D printing technology. These artificial organs and bones can then be introduced into the body of the patient to replace diseased or problematic areas. Surgeons are also using 3D printing technology to have a better understanding of what is happening inside their patients’ bodies. With a 3D model, it is significantly easier for a surgeon to have a closer look at the problem and simulate a variety of solutions or possible operations that can be undertaken before performing the actual surgery on the patient.

Remote Monitoring
For some patients, moving around is a huge hassle. Recurring hospital visits can also take a toll on their finances. With remote monitoring technology, patients can easily access and consult a doctor in the comfort of their homes. This saves a lot of time and money. The doctor can remotely monitor a particular issue, for example by getting blood pressure levels, and thus do away with the need for a hospital visit. This technology has particularly been very useful to pacemaker patients.

Medical Experimentation
Technology has drastically changed how medical experiments are conducted. Instead of taking years, experiments now take months or weeks. This is because it is now possible to simulate human reactions to a particular drug, instead of having to rely entirely on human volunteers. Innovations like the chimp adenovirus, which is closely related to a human version, has revolutionized the rate of experimentation. The Ebola outbreak proved that experiments could be greatly accelerated. Because of fears of a world outbreak and the need for rapid containment, researchers thought out of the box and came up with innovative solutions that led to the Ebola vaccine in record time.

Automation

Automation is when a computer or form of technology does something without the assistance of humans. You may not realize how often you actually use automation. It is something as simple as a thermostat or a coffee maker. You control how you want something done, but it is done completely by the machinery being used. It tends to be looked as a negative when looking into the future. It is feared that robots and computers will take over the world and take the jobs of many people.

People Are More Informed About Disasters and Information All Over the World.
Before the internet, it was harder to know about things that were happening in countries and places around the world. If you did hear about it, it was usually a period of time after the fact. The internet connects us with people in every country and we can instantly communicate with them. Not only that, the internet is filled with so much information about one topic. You no longer have to go to a library or flip through a magazine to find an article, you can just search it up and find what you need to know online.

Technology is changing the way we live. New discoveries are bringing in unimaginable innovations. What was impossible yesterday is a reality today. Future has many more surprises in store for us. Let us look at the big ones.
