Kumi University | KUMU is a private University in Uganda. The university is located in Kumi Town, Kumi District, eastern Uganda, approximately 150 miles (240 km) northeast of Kampala, Uganda’s capital and largest city. The second campus in the town of Soroti, 54 kilometres (34 mi) northwest of Kumi Town which handles the Evening Programs offered by the university. Courses offered lead to the award of Certificates, Diplomas and Bachelor’s Degrees. The university has the following functioning Faculties; • Faculty of Education and Languages • Faculty of Computing and Information Technology • Faculty of Social Sciences and Management Studies • Faculty of Medicine – In the planning stage
Kumi University | KUMU is a community based non-profit religious institution operating under a provisional License No. UIP1002 granted by National Council for Higher Education. Kumi University was founded in 1996 by a Korean Missionary Christian couple as African Leaders Training Institute (ALTI). ALTI soon grew into Kumi University in 1999.
