St. Joseph’s Seminary Nyenga is a minor catholic secondary school purposed for training to be priest .A profound school of great men who seek to serve the Lord for what matters is how carefully one does what their soul tells them. St. Joseph’s seminary Nyenga is a Minor seminary ( O and A Levels) founded by the Mill Hill Fathers in 1924 ( 96 years of existence). It is located in Buikwe District,  in the Catholic Diocese of Lugazi , 69 Km along Kampala- Jinja Road and 2 km from the main road. It is boarding and  admits only  boys. The current students’ enrollment is 300.

Nyenga seminary is a forming ground for the spiritual, Academic and Social sectors.We follow the Uganda National Curriculum which is designed by the National Curriculum Development Center ( NCDC). The curriculum leads to the sitting for the Uganda National Examination Board ( UNEB) and award of Uganda Certificate of Education (O-Level) and Uganda Advanced Certificate of  Education (A-Level).

Seminarians have the opportunity to engage in many co-curricular activities like, learning and playing music instruments ( Piano, key board,  Guitars, Violins and Band).We have the following sporting activities:

  • Badminton
  • Basket ball among others.

Nyenga Seminary is a home most of of us; leading us through the formation we need to overcome this world, with a staff dedicated to making this happen and they always push us to always do things “QUANTUM POSSUM”.
