Kingsway Primary School was founded in 2001. It started with 55 students and 10 teachers and has grown to 852 students with a faculty of 33 teachers.
There are 20 permanent and 3 semi-permanent classrooms to accommodate the students and faculty. Student fees per term are 151,000 shillings ($90) for nursery school, 251,000 shillings ($150) for primary school and 351,000 shillings ($205) for boarders.
Kingsway Primary School is private and receives no additional government funding. It has an unreliable power and water supply, lacks sufficient educational and recreational supplies and would like to create computer labs for the students but, despite these challenges, ranks amongst the best in the Primary Leaving Examinations every year.
