Kidiki Mixed Primary School is a Catholic-founded school. It began in 1910 for boys only, and following a merger with an all girls’ school in 1975 became co-educational. It is now government aided, has 972 students in 12 classrooms (8 permanent and 4 semi permanent), and is staffed by 20 teachers.
Parents contribute only 1,000 shillings (less than $0.60) per term for milling and to pay for the school’s cook. The school’s only other income is from government grants, which totaled 2,116,000 ($1,200) last year.
