Kibuli Modern Day and Boarding Nursery and Primary School was started in 2000 as a small nursery school. It is a private non-profit school that now supports 657 students (184 boarders and 473 day scholars) in grades nursery through primary 7.
As a private school, it receives no government grants. Fees range from 45,000 shillings (about $21) to 75,000 shillings (about $35) for day scholars and 200,000 shillings (about $93) for boarders in grades primary 3 through 7.
Kibuli Modern Day and Boarding Nursery and Primary School receives some additional income selling school uniforms. Challenges for the school include difficulties collecting fees from parents, which can make day-to-day operations difficult. The school also lacks means to entertain students on weekends.
