Kamuli Township Primary School was started in 1938 to accommodate the children of Indian business owners in Kamuli. In 1972 the school became government aided upon the expulsion of Indians from Uganda.
There are 2,165 students (101 boarders) from Primary 1 to 7. There are only 14 habitable classrooms with another 11 in need of repair. The government grants amount to 5,670,000 shillings ($3,240). Fees per student are 9,500 shillings ($5.40) in P1 to P6 and 16,000 shillings ($9.14) in P7.

Current school initiatives include plans to introduce computer lessons and the development of poultry and dairy resources to provide some nourishment for children and staff.
