Kampala Model Primary School is a private institution that started in 2001. Its motto is, Education Leads to Success, and its mission is: To provide the most appropriate, all-round affordable education and produce God-fearing citizens for sustainable living.
Today Kampala Model Primary School has 500 students (300 boarders), and is staffed by 20 teachers, 2 support personnel, and 10 non-teaching staff. It occupies 14 permanent classrooms and 12 dormitories. Per term day scholars pay 100,000 shillings ($60) per term and boarders 250,000 shillings ($150).
The School is proud of its highly qualified teachers. Challenges include unstable electric power, lack of water harvesting facilities, inadequate scholastic materials and textbooks and a lack of playing fields. The school also lacks computers for computer training and could use additional vocational tools such as sewing machines, welding equipment, and knitting machines.
