International School of Uganda | ISU is a non-profit, co-educational day school. It was established in Uganda in 1967. International school of Uganda offers an international education program for students 3 to 19 years old. We educate nearly 600 students, aged 2.5 to 19, who represent over 60 different nations. ISU creates a culturally dynamic and synergistic student body with many languages and customs.
International School of Uganda | ISU is authorized by the International Baccalaureate to offer the Primary Years, Middle Years and Diploma Programmes, one of 119 schools worldwide. ISU is also accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools in the United States and the Council of International Schools, two prestigious international accreditation organizations.
Location: International School of Uganda | ISU is situated on a lush thirty-three acre purpose-built campus. The lush thirty-three acre ISU campus is a garden for many indigenous plants and bird-life. The purpose-built campus is on the outskirts of the capital city ofUganda, Kampala in a rural setting and about 5 kilometers from Lake Victoria.

Curriculum
International School of Uganda | ISU curriculum is based on the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program, Diploma (16-19 year-old students), Middle Years (11-16 year-old students) and Primary Years (3-11 year-old students). ISU is one of 218 schools worldwide which is authorized to offer all three IB programmes. The students are well prepared at ISU for entry into American, British or other international schools or universities. More than 3,000 schools world-wide use the International Baccalaureate Programs which offer transportability for students of international families. The High School program prepares students for successful entry into universities and colleges.

ISU is committed to developing balanced individuals with a focus on student wellbeing. Athletics team provides a comprehensive offering of experiences throughout the school year.

International Schools of Southern and Eastern Africa (ISSEA) is an international regional athletic and extracurricular association.
ISU is a member school of the ISSEA League which consists of international schools from South Africa, Lusaka, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mozambique and Tanzania.

Transport: The school has a fleet of buses that ply fourteen routes and transport students to and from school. At the end of the school day there are two services, one at 3.10 pm at the end of the regular school day and another at 4.10 pm for students who stay on for after-school activities. We also offer a 5:00 pm limited bus service for those who take part in extended activities or sports.

Meals: The school has a cafeteria that offers hot lunches to the entire school. The cafeteria offers a wide variety of meals to satisfy all our students. In addition, it also offers snacks and drinks throughout the day. A health conscious menu, that is changed regularly, is published bi-monthly in our weekly newsletter.
