Bubangizi Primary School was founded by the Catholic community of Bubangizi Parish in 1954. 438 pupils attend the school from classes Primary 1 to 7.
Bubangizi Primary School has 12 teachers and 10 classrooms and also houses 30 boarders. Day scholars pay 15,000 shillings ($9) per term and boarders pay 70,000 shillings ($43) per term. In addition to those fees, the school received 1,635,000 shillings ($1,200) from the government in the last full year.
Bubangizi Primary School faces many challenges including high absenteeism and a lack of proper educational materials. In addition, many students cannot pay the required fees.
