Bishop Ssenyonjo Church of Uganda Primary School was founded in 1985 by parents of the Church of Uganda church in Mbirizi as an outdoor school under a tree with 27 pupils. It has grown now to educate 702 students, 382 girls and 320 boys, from Class 1-7. The school has 13 teachers and 6 classrooms to serve the students.

Bishop Ssenyonjo Church of Uganda Primary School faces several challenges including a lack of teachers’ houses and classrooms, too few desks and chairs for pupils and no administration buildings or library.
