The Education Innovation Africa Conference under the theme ‘Driving impact in private, social and PPP education projects in Africa’ will be held from June 7-8 at the Villa Rosa Kempinski.
The second hosting of the event in Nairobi will see representatives from the Education ministries of Kenya, Malawi, Botswana and Liberia.
Amongst the issues to be discussed – in addition to the curriculum review – are increase access of eduction, addressing shortage of teaching staff, improving academic performance and innovative partnerships.
Speakers participating in the event will also discuss opportunities available in the region. Speakers include Gregg Alpert of Pearson Affordable Learning Fund, Biju Mohandas of the International Finance Corporation, Vineet Bewtra of Omidyar Network, Julia Moffett, Director of Innovation and Equity Group Foundation.

Kenyan education investors Ayisi Makatyani of Fanisi Capital and Anthony Wahome of AG International Limited, Nairobi County Education Executive member Christopher Khaemba and Dr Julius Jwan of the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) will be among the speakers and moderators at the conference.
Participants in the 2016 event who include government ministries, educators, entrepreneurs, investors and financiers will explore opportunities and partnerships that focus on improving education outcomes across the continent.
