Philosophy Centre Jinja | PCJ is an international, inter-congregational consortium established to contribute to the formation of men and women – clerical, religious or lay – who aspire to ministry in the Church.

PCJ concentrates on philosophical studies while introducing students to additional courses like Sacred Scripture, Christian Doctrine, Spirituality, Psychology, Sociology, Economics and other disciplines.

The consortium was the initiative of the Missionaries of Africa, the Comboni Missionaries, the Mill Hill Missionaries and the Congregation of Holy Cross and remains open to wider participation. In 2004, the Claretian Missionaries became the fifth founding member of PCJ. Altogether, fourteen congregations send candidates to PCJ to study today.
