Kabale Institute of Technology and Applied Sciences (KITAS) aims at addressing the persistent problem of unemployment in Uganda. We must recognize that technical education is the most sustainable way to avert unemployment by producing job creators rather than job seekers. Kabale Institute of Technology and Applied Sciences (KITAS) gives students, who have the required academic standards (Senior 4 and above as well as holders of junior technical certificates), to acquire craft certificates in various disciplines. In future, it will offer advanced craft certificates and diplomas. The academically challenged graduates can of course continue for degrees. KITAS will also be introducing short-term courses which do not require the above minimum qualifications.
