National Teachers’ College, Kaliro, started in 1985, is a government founded tertiary Institution affiliated to Kyambogo University. Situated in Kaliro district in Eastern Uganda, NTC Kaliro was originally a Grade II Teachers’ College in the 1970s before becoming a Grade III Teachers’ College in 1984.
At National Teachers’ College (NTC), Kaliro, the academic staff is devoted to helping students succeed in their chosen teaching career. They make sure teacher trainees are prepared for Micro teaching and School Practice. Micro teaching systematically trains teacher trainees by allowing them to experience the dynamics of a class before School Practice which is undertaken every academic year so that their employ-ability is not doubted.
