Mulago School of Nursing and Midwifery is a public training institution owned by the Ugandan Government under the Ministry of Education and Sports. It was founded in 1955, under the British Colonial Government Policy of training health workers to address and promote preventive, rehabilitative as well as curative care in Ugandan communities.
The school has a Mission “To produce highly competent and motivated nurses and midwives with positive attitude to deliver quality health care services for sustainable social-economic development” and a Vision “A highly reputable training institution in nursing and midwifery for professional advancement”.

The School is well facilitated with a Practical Skills Laboratory, a well stocked library, a computer laboratory, transportation means and accommodation all for a better education of our students.
