Mayanja Memorial Medical Training Institute(MTI) was established to respond to the increasing demand for health professionals in Uganda and the region. The products of the institute are able to work both locally, nationally and internationally. The institute was conceived in March and registered in August 2008.

Vision: A center of excellence in providing quality and relevant medical education. As we empower them to serve.
Mission: To produce competent health professionals with skills to offer holistic health care services locally, nationally and internationally.
Programs: The institute was officially registered in May 2009 by the Ministry of Education and Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council and allowed to offer the following courses; Diploma and Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology, Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Community Health, Certificate Enrolled Midwifery and Certificate in Enrolled Nursing among others.

Mayanja Memorial Medical Training Institute(MTI) offers attractive training facilities namely training laboratories, Teaching Hospital, and the school has a memorandum of understanding with Mbarara University.
The Medical Laboratory School is located in an institute offering other programs like Clinical Medicine, Nursing and Midwifery. This offers a more challenging training environment and specifically mimics the future working conditions.
