City Polytechnic provides engineering at a professional level which revolves around taking the lead in providing solutions to clients and customers. This involves extensive design and creative input. Engineers use their knowledge and skills to look for ways of exploiting emerging technologies.
In essence, engineering is all about solving problems to help people. In addition to design, paraprofessional engineers plan, budget, organize, direct and control a range of tasks, people and resources to enable those solutions to be realized.these are guiding principles in the entire CPI system
Vision:
To be the leading private paraprofessional Technical training institution in East Africa
Mission:
To offer locally relevant engineering programs of international quality through student centered teaching, training and research and the creation of an atmosphere conducive for utmost personal development.
Academics
Our programmes are designed to prepare students for their future career by providing them with the initial educational requirements of a paraprofessional engineer together with a suitable range of transferable and management skills. This will enable graduates to operate effectively in their initial roles and provide a strong basis for future career development. The aims of our programmes are to:
• Provide a programme of study, which develops core knowledge, and understanding of engineering principles, mathematics, and computation, appropriate to different Engineering disciplines offered at the polytechnic.
Enable students to develop specialist knowledge, intellectual and practical skills that will enable them to analyse, investigate and develop robust solutions to Engineering problems.
Study Programmes:
Currently, we offer 4 study programmes in the areas of Electrcial and Computer Engineering :
Certificate/Diploma in Telecommunications Engineering (DTE):
Certificate/Diploma in Electrical Power (Systems) Engineering (DEE):
Certificate/Diploma in Computer Engineering (DCE):
Certificate/Diploma in Information Technology (DIT):
