Hanakh Elem Nursery School

Hanakh Elem Schools serve children from the age of 1.5years to 6 years (Early Childhood Education). We provide a fun-filled environment to ensure safe, Christian, healthy and child-focused approach to early education.

Hanakh is a Hebrew word which means “To Train”

Elem is also a Hebrew word which means “A firm Child”

Mission And Goals

“To provide a pre-school place-anchored in the word of God- of development and discovery appropriate for the age of the child.”
1. Provide a safe, accepting and caring environment for all children as we transform them into disciples of Christ.
2. Assist each child to grow to his fullest potential by recognizing each stage of development and fashioning an environment designed to nurture and facilitate growth during each stage.
3. Help children develop and use their problem-solving skills.
4. Encourage and build self-confidence and self-esteem through varieties of learning activities
5. Contribute to the development of physical growth, creativity, self-concept, social awareness and intellectual curiosity in children.
6. Assist parents in understanding the development stage of their child, enabling them to contribute most effectively to the child’s growth and enrichment.
7. Encourage and develop new friendships.
8. Create an awareness of God in the young children through speech, song and actions

The school uses the Uganda National Curriculum in all the classes. However, it also uses the international teaching models to achieve this purpose,  sounds based learning including jolly phonics, seating arrangements that permit and enhance study.
The school upholds one on one teaching as each child is different. Our teacher to pupil ratio is low to allow this.
