Iganga High School is a mixed, O and A level, public secondary school located on plot No. 56 along Mpiindi road, 200m from the central Round-About, 118km from Kampala. Iganga high school is under UNEB registration number, U0078
History
Iganga high school was started way back in 1967 as Vithaldas Haridas primary school by Asians living in Uganda at the time. It later became secondary school in the name of Vithaldas Haridas secondary school. Later the name of the school changed to Iganga High School when it was taken over by the government in 1976. The performance at both Ordinary and Advanced levels has been good for the past 10 years.
Facilities
Iganga high schools science and computer laboratories have adequate lab equipments, well stocked library for both teachers and students and hostel facilities for both girls and boys to ensure privacy and safety of the students. Iganga high school community continues to enjoy good health through a school clinic with a permanent nurse and a visiting doctor in case of special cases. Students are served 3 meals a day namely, breakfast, lunch and supper .Iganga High School has a school truck, pickup and bus used for transporting learners to different places.
Co-curricular
